Jo & Tom... paper anniversary 1 year on...
This time last year I was gearing up for my first BIG wedding of 2016. Jo & Tom got married in Decourceys Manor Hotel and I was so happy to be able to document their wedding in such a beautiful place and with such beautiful people too. It was going to be EPIC... and it was!
I hadn't blogged about this until now because I only started blogging my weddings after changing computer systems and by that time Jo & Tom were safely tucked away in the archives.. well until now! It was actually the volume of images taken at their wedding that made me have to switch systems lol.
Their wedding was gorgeous. Jo is a stunning girl and an even more stunning bride if that's even possible. She smiled all day and I would have too just to be wearing those amazing Irregular Choice shoes and that dress!!!. She got ready in the hotel with her family - her sister Janine who wasn't just a bridesmaid but also expecting the new addition to their little family. Mum and dad were there too with Jo's 2 boys and her gorgeous niece. The atmosphere was lovely and it was a real honour to capture their close relationships.
Samara from Best Buds did the flowers and my god she did an AMAZING job... as an old friend of Jo's she went the extra mile and provided the most amazing details you could ever want at your wedding. Samara didn't just do the bouquets, she provided mini trees for the centre pieces, flowers around the cake and a lovely tree stump cake stand, she provided an old suitcase for cards and giant LOVE letters to be used in the evening. She worked all night, all morning and managed to look amazing for the wedding itself where she tuned into a much wanted guest.
Jo also thought of everything, as an education specialist for early years she used one of the rooms at DeCourceys for a creche so that the children wouldn't get bored and would be looked after whilst the adults could relax and be themselves. This was such a great idea! Defo one to remember! As well as being an educator Jo is passionate about music and also runs musical based classes for young children called 'Jingle Jangle Jo'. This is infact where we first met as I used to take my son there. It was important to Jo & Tom that their wedding represented who they were and this was done brilliantly. They used my engagement photos to decorate every table and Jo had sourced a load of old sheet music where by she hand crafted cones to put confetti roses in... so simple yet so brilliant. The cake even had sheet music on it and I have never seen so many signs with J&T anywhere lol.
Jo and Tom were great to work with, they seemed to love the time taken for the couple photos and the photos show how relaxed and into each other they are.
Here are just a few dug up from the archives and in no particular order. Happy 1st anniversary guys, make it as EPIC as your day was a year ago xxx
